Christmas and Yule Blocks and Items

Christmas Trees

To decorate a Christmas Tree, you will first need to locate and cut down a Small Spruce Tree. These can be found growing in cold biomes, and sometimes their saplings will drop from Spruce Leaves. Cut down the tree to get the Christmas Tree Item.

Once you have your tree, you can leave it as is, or dye it with White Dye for a Snowy Christmas Tree.

Next, you'll need to craft a stand to place the Tree in.

Christmas Tree Decorations

Now you're ready to decorate your tree. Tree Decorations are:

There are two color choices for Tree Lights and Ornaments: White and Bright Colored, and you have your choice of either a Star or a Bow for a Tree Topper.

Decorating the Trees

The Trees have 3 sections, and each section can take one set of Tree Lights, one set of Ornaments, and one set of Sweet Berry Garland.
Clicking on the Top section with a Topper will place the Topper Block above the tree. To remove/change the topper, interact with the topper itself.
To decorate, place the item onto the desired Tree section.
To remove an item you have placed on the tree, click on it with an empty hand.

Presents

Find these in dungeons and Mineshaft chests! They can be placed anywhere. To reveal the present inside, just break them open! Presents are random and range from good gifts to exceptional gifts.

For 1.21.4 +, presents will use a tag for their loot, "present_gifts", which can be customized via datapack.

Festive Lights

All light versions come in a set of white, or a set of multi-colors. There are horizontal, diagonal, and "top" or "cap" blocks for the tops of roofs. The horizontal light blocks will connect around corners as well.

Decorative Garlands and Wreaths

Garlands can be added to Walls and Picket Fences to create fences/walls adorned with garland. Wreaths can be added to doors in a crafting table to create a door with a wreath on it. Doors created with Lit Wreaths will give off light.
